The Addis Ababa City Evacuation and Compensation Appeals Council held a discussion on the 2018 annual plan.
The President of the Addis Ababa City Land Acquisition and Compensation Appeals Board, Ato Olyad Seyoum, who opened the planning discussion, said that the reason for revising the previously prepared plan was to plan a workable and participatory plan and to make it accessible to our employees. He explained the reason for the review of the plan and officially started the discussion.
Next, Judge Yitay Tasse read out the revised 2018 plan of the Addis Ababa City Administration Land Acquisition and Compensation Appeals Board to the employees, the judges of the board, and the pool institutions.
An annual strategy was prepared and discussed based on the reform works initiated by the Appeals Board, which upholds judicial independence and provides efficient and quality judicial services. In the discussion, the framework for preparing the strategic plan was selected. The preparation of the strategic plan requires conducting research and analysis, preparing an implementation plan, and developing a monitoring and evaluation framework.
Three strategic frameworks for planning, managing, and measuring performance that are currently being used in the world, namely Results-based management, Integrated Strategic Planning & Management System using the Balanced Scorecard as a tool, and Strategic Planning and Management, were examined in depth. Considering the fact that it is not possible to use one completely in isolation in light of the mission of the conference, it was believed that it was necessary to use a composite framework that is suitable for its natural characteristics. The 2018 annual plan is said to include vision, mission, values, key strategic issues/objectives/result areas, strategic actions and goals, and results chain topics.
The content and action plan of the 2018 annual plan were presented in detail, extensively discussed, and ideas were provided, and the questions raised were answered, developed, and put into action.
